Hello, I’m Carolyne, a dedicated social worker with a passion for creating a more just and compassionate world. With a strong background working with children, youth, and adults, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of advocacy and support. My journey in social services began in Kenya, where I worked with diverse communities and individuals, from assisting families in palliative care to championing the needs of children with diverse health conditions.

My career has been built on a foundation of empathy and a commitment to empowering others. I believe that every individual and family deserves access to the essential resources and support they need to thrive. Whether it was implementing trauma-informed strategies for vulnerable families or providing crucial emotional support to those facing difficult health journeys, my goal has always been to offer culturally sensitive, holistic care.

I am a natural advocate, driven to not only help individuals navigate complex social systems but also to influence policy changes that promote social justice. My experience has honed my skills in crisis intervention, critical thinking, and collaborative teamwork. I am a firm believer in the strength of community and the power of working together to create lasting positive change.

As I continue my studies at Thompson Rivers University, I am committed to expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve marginalized communities and champion their rights. I am excited to bring my unique blend of experience and dedication to new challenges, ensuring that everyone has the tools and support they need to live a life of dignity and well-being.
